What do I need to know about travelling on National Express buses?

    No, one child under 3 years old may travel for free when accompanied by a paying passenger 16+ years old. Any additional children under the age of 16 must purchase a child's ticket. Passengers under the age of 16 travelling on a child's ticket must be able to produce an official piece of identification bearing their photograph and date of birth.


    Check-in is required for international Eurolines buses travelling from London's Victoria Coach Station or Dover's Eurolines Travel Centre 1 hour before departure. No check-in is required for any other National Express bus routes; however, arriving at least 10 minutes before departure is strongly recommended.


    National Express offers Peak, Off-Peak, Child, and Restricted fares. National Express also offers special rates for groups (4-9 people) and passengers travelling to the airport.

    Yes, all children need a ticket on Ouibus buses. Children under 2 years old (on the day of departure) will recieve a half-price ticket. Child tickets are limited to one child per accompanying adult.

What do I need to know about travelling on Flixbus buses?

    Yes, all children need a ticket on FlixBus buses. Children under 3 years old must be transported in a child's seat and secured during travel. Children under 15 years old travel at a reduced rate.

Taking the Bus from London

London Victoria Coach Station is the biggest and most important bus station in London and is also where buses from London to Paris will depart. Victoria Coach station is just a short walk away from Victoria Train Station, the fourth biggest London terminus, which provides domestic travel to cities within the UK and is an also an underground station serving the District, Circle and Victoria line. Night buses are available from the station, however, tend to be extremely time-consuming; so, failing that taxis are also available.

Getting into Paris by Bus

Paris conjures up images of iconic picture-postcard attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Arc de Triomphe and Pantheon Building. Visit the chic Triangle d'Or and the bustling Flea Markets to experience the strikingly different flavors of Paris. When traveling into the city, buses from London to Paris will terminate either at the central bus station, Paris Porte Maillot Coach Park or Paris Gallieni. Port Mailliot bus station is located 7 km from the city center of Paris and is just a 2-minute walk from the Metro station of the same name which is served by line 1. Gallieni bus station is also located on Paris' Metro, making access to the rest of city and its many attractions extremely easy. It is located just under 10 km from the city center and will take 30 minutes to drive, or 20 minutes using line 3 of the Metro. Bus links to others areas of the city are also available from the both the stations; in addition to taxis, of which there are ranks outside the respective stations.
